That's not happening, the Yanks are trying to get younger and cheaper. They'll probably target a Gerardo Parra; Carlos Gomez, or Nyjer Morgan.

We could go after Hunter as a stop gap measure.

Parra I like, but why Gomez and Morgan? A lineup full of little hitters like that might not get us to the postseason even if they could be problems in the postseason.

Gomez or Morgan will offer speed, something that the Yanks lack. Those guys are also decent defenders and can play center. I'm not saying you have to get both, but get one of them, roll w/ Gardner; Curtis, and Morgan/Gomez in the field(Ichiro on the bench).

Outside of Ichiro; Gardner, and to a far lesser extent Jeter, the Yanks can't manufacture runs. The Yanks are a station to station team, that relies on the long ball. Sometimes you need to be able to mix it up.
