My Pops Forever RIP
:rudy:

He was one of the best players in baseball

yeah, when nobody was on 2nd or 3rd.

Couldn't hit lefties even though that was what made him such a lethal hitter. Everyone begged the team to hit him 3rd only to have an OPS nearly 200 points below his numbers at cleanup. Awful with a 2 strike count, when there were two outs, he gave up on the inning, and if Teixeira is Mr. Pop Up, Cano became Mr. Ground Ball to 2nd. Lastly, he feasted off bad pitching.

He had the kind of season Swisher would be proud of.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are believed to be the winning bidder for the right to negotiate a contract with pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin of the Korea Baseball Organization,

Ryu is a 25-year-old left-hander for the Hanwha Eagles. The Eagles on Saturday did not identify the Major League Baseball team that posted the winning bid but said they have accepted a posting fee of $25.7 million

Ryu, who was 98-52 with a 2.80 career ERA during seven seasons in South Korea. He pitched for his country on teams that won a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and reached the championship game of the 2009 World Baseball Classic

I know Yanks would like to get younger, but they should bring back Ichiro..for the right price of course...they need to manufacture runs....too many times in the postseason they can't get that timely hit

I remember reading last offseason they had some young arms in their farm system, I wonder what happened to them..

Man, if Washington doesnt resign LaRoche, i would love to move Morse to 1b and sign Ichiro. We would finaly have a legit leadoff man. Just the injuries we have to worry about.
