Tim knows that pitchers get paid, so it's not off base to suggest he'd get 120 mil, given he's 30 and played like an ace for several years. You think Strausburg is gonna sign an extension? :usure:
Understood, and Tim did have nice stats last year...but that's a fukkin gamble and a half when it's $20MM a year for 5 years off the bat...as a righty pitcher.

It's not like they low-balled him.

Wright has wasted 3 years of his prime due to inept FO moves; a canyon of a ballpark, and ownership that frequently shyts on players. If I'm Wright, I'm  about signing there.

Thats not the point the point is Wilpons offer is more then fair to Wright from a financial standpoint

15 mil for a dude who's never got it together consistently is :usure:

He started the season hurt, he'll be a .330 OBP CF w/ decent defense along w/ 20+ HR's; 20+ SB's, .430 SLG. Not to mention you have him for 4 years of his prime, and only one year after his prime is up. Given that Melky got 8 mil, BJ is worth 15.
