I have always felt this way

I tend to agree. There's a difference between playing a team like Northwestern St. (not this year just an example) and say a typical SWAC team but you SHOULD be able to beat them and playing a 7/10..no different than 8/9 lets be honest.. The road isn't much different all things considering.

its slightly changed now with the not set locations with the opening weekend games versus in teh past where an Eastern number one seed would go out west and play a 2nd round game against a team that is located closer to the site (one example was 1993 when Michigan played UCLA in a 2nd round game in Tucson... this is also one of the best tourney games i have ever seen).

But outside of that, the road is pretty much the same. The top 2 seeds just gotta play up to their seeding that opening weekend.
