Edelman worked in Beli's system, I don't think he would fit in with what we do. I think the best move is sign Steve Smith to a cheap one or two year deal and get a WR in the first/second round. That'll make some good competition to see which of our young WRs are worth keeping and who's a bust.

and what is the system? Kubiack is a new offensive coordinator....he will dictate the system, lol.

We make too many passing plays outside of the numbers....we need a edelman that can work between the numbers along with pitta. That big ben freestyle and throw to a fast reciever on the outside has been phased out by the NFL....Ravens winning the super bowl with anquan bewteen the numbers to neutralize corners is the new thing and flacco will natural keep the game honest because he loves the deep ball.

Whatcha'll think about Pettigrew as a 2nd TE? dikkson's probably gone and we really need a TE who can block (I'm glad Pitta's back, but he ain't that guy), and I'd rather not use #17 on Ebron. IDK if Pettigrew would accept a backup role, though.

That's why I prefer Decker. We need some stick movers

Agree we need a receiver that can work between the numbers but I think we need a more physical presence more like Quan. I don't think Edelman is that. If we do sign him I just hope we don't overpay for a guy with one good year.

breh we just gave Pitta 6 mill per for 1 average year,we probably would give Edelman 12 mill for the year he had :heh:

@ the bold part - Jarvis Landry or Jordan Matthews can fill that role

we can get one of those guys in the 2nd round

That's why i want them to go hard for Decker. I'd rather grab something other than WR in the the second. Maybe try to get Devin Street from Pitt since he's projected to be a 4-5th rd guy (measured out at 6-3, 200) or Martavis Bryant from Clemson in the third (solid but not as productive).

Decker wouldve cost too much and hes not worth it IMO...dude is a #2 WR with inflated #s because he played with Peyton(and all those other weapons)

honestly i would rather sign James Jones over Decker

paying Matthews or Landry a little under a mill per for the next 4 years>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>paying Decker around 8 mill per

what positions you want us to draft in the 2nd instead of WR?

personally i want us to go defense or tackle in the 1st and WR in the 2nd

Trade down and get Verrett or snatch Marquise Lee. Second round go o-line. Third if Brooks from FSU is still there get him or Fleming from Stanford
