None of these long term contracts have proven to be beneficial to these teams. Joey Votto is not only a great hitter but he's a better fielder and baserunner than Cabrera. So, I don't know why y'all mocking his contract like it's not on par with the money elite players are getting. You know who's contract is truly horrible? Justin Verlander's.
