he isnt a bad pitcher, and hell do better at at&t park. still hes no more than like a #3 at best and hes a rental. to give up a top prospect plus another player who has some power(albeit possibly never being more than AAA player) is way too much imo.Mike Leake has pitched pretty well the last month or so. Looking at his number he has pitched better away from home. So I think trading for him was good, but I'm just not sure if the Giants can rely on him in October. Plus they traded their best prospect for him.
basically if we wanted a rental and had to give up some good prospects (like we did), price would be a better choice.ain't no doubt your boy Trout is a beast, but that "one man show" logic is flawed for several reasons.
first, the Astros outscored the Angels by 11 runs this series (and btw have outscored them 57-38 all season long)
second, the Astros have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball
but most importantly I don't think you have noticed just how poorly Trout has fared against Houston this season. Astros have owned him
Mike Trout vs Houston Astros 2015
Games: 10
Batting Average: .222 (8 for 36)
Strikeouts: 13
Home Runs: 4
RBI: 7
Trout has been dominated by their pitching all year along (and he hasn't even had to deal with ERA league leading Kazmir yet). had the Astros lost the series the way the Angels did, they could have used the same excuse that it was because they were missing their best power hitter in George Springer who has been injured since June. baseball isn't a one man show.

you basically blamed the sweep on Trout not playing. that alone was worth posting the facts that you didn't know about![]()
How many games did Trout play in this series? Just wondering.

We in herehow many games did springer play this series??![]()

Why are you Astros fans so pressed? LOL.
Ask a question because you know Trout got hurt prior to the series ... get a whole bunch of flack.
All y'all had to say was, "1, and he went 0-3."![]()
Shout out to my Astros fansWe in here
