As for the Hunter addition to the bullpen, the Cubs have lots of power arms. Hector Rondon is back in the closer role and has a 0.33 ERA since initially losing the job. Pedro Strop and Jason Motte are inconsistent but flash high upside. Justin Grimm has a 1.69 ERA.

cubs don't need kimbrel they have a closer who struggled in may and regained his form since and several other power arms

Keep hating while verlander and cabrera use up 50% of your payroll for the next 7-10 years

Lester just wanted the most money. Cespedes actually likes Detroit and was having his breakout year with them because of their lineup. Gonna be interesting to see if he regresses a bit in New York's shytty lineup.

Miggy's still the best hitter in baseball and Verlander looks like he's regaining his form. Detroit still has a great core for the next three years and will have money to spend this winter.
