LOL @ there being a Cespedes for MVP campaign brewing. People are bored, or desperate for attention.
He's definitely one of the best players of the second half.

Yup. And he's still not the MVP. Any vote for someone besides Harper is wrong.
You can when it's a hitter. He's been unreal, but only 1/3 of his season will have been spent in the NL.That's not to say Cespedes can't finish 2nd.
If Bryce wasn't having an All Time Great Season, I think Cespedes could have actually won. His Mets Stats are ridiculous
Can't use the games played argument since a Pitcher has won the award 2 of the past 4 years
@duckbutta explain to us why Cespedes isn't getting close to $100 million in free agency again. :smhkobe:

The Mets did this in the 73 World Series with Rusty Staub. He had to throw the ball in underhanded.Matheny started a guy in CF that literally can't throw the ball
The Cardinals Played A Center Fielder Who Can't Throw
The Cubs project to see an attendance increase of roughly 275,000 fans over their 2014 number, reports Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times. That significant spike in fans — due largely to the team’s much-improved on-field results — could result in a substantial payroll increase. As Wittenmyer notes, conservative estimates peg the attendance increase at an extra $20.6MM in revenue, and while perhaps not all of that money will go directly into payroll, the boost could be enough for the Cubs to make a serious run at elite free agents such as David Price and Zack Greinke.

I still don't think they're throwing $200 million-plus at a pitcher after the Lester contract and what they'll have to pay Arietta in 2018 (plus arbitration leading up to that).
