the average time of game last year over 3 hours. that's inexcusable.
it was somewhat understandable 15-20 years ago when there was more offense and guys were taking more pitches. but now its a joke. a 1-0, 9-inning game shouldn't last 3 and a half hours.
hitters fixing their gloves, helmet, looking at their bats every pitch. while pitchers would wonder off the mound, adjust their cap, grab the rosin, dig a bigger hole on the rubber after each pitch.
yes, commercials and frequent trips to the mound have played a part also, but this is a step in the direction.

Most of what I said is expected not a longshot. We had the best pitching rotation in baseball the second half of the season .
