Kershaw needs 7 strikeouts to hit 300 for the season. He'll start one more game. If he gets there, he'll be the first pitcher since 2002 to do it (Johnson and Schilling). Craziness.
Make that 6. He struck out another in the 9th. CGSO, 1H, 13K 1BB to clinch the division on the road. Boss shyt.

Kershaw will definitely hit 300 K on his next and last start.. Didn't think I would ever see that again.
Thing is you know he will still finish third after Greinke or Arrieta in the Cy Young voting.. crazy

Arrieta is the rightful Cy Young Winner, Greinke gets an honorable runner-up. This is like last year in the AL when Felix was the favorite through September, then started to falter, while Kluber went on an insane run like Arrieta has been on for the past 6 weeks.

Cubs should honestly go to the world series at a minimum. They have the best manager in the NL, the best pitcher in the NL, and a great lineup.

You continue to prove your stupidity. How can either one be the "rightful" Cy Young Winner? Is one a descendent of Cy Young, so he should inherit the award? Stupid. Like last year? You're insinuating that Greinke has "started to falter"? No. Greinke has stayed at the same level all year long. Never better (though how can he be?) and never worse. If anything, one could argue that he's becoming a victim of his own consistency, as everyone is getting recency bias with Arrieta's play of late.

The fact is that there's no wrong choice. And if someone votes for Kershaw (which him not being mentioned here is kind of insane too), that wouldn't be wrong either. I hate the fact that ppl feel the need to make an absolute statement about something that is literally splitting hairs. If Arrieta wins the award, will that be right? Yes. If Greinke wins the award, will that be right? Yes. They're both having ridiculously good seasons, and if the world were just, they'd share the award, but the odds of that are long. Regardless, the person that finishes 2nd will in no way be diminshed. lol @ "honorable runner up". I mean, seriously...smh.

Wainwright must have taken a radioactive dose of deer antler spray to be back this soon and throwing 95. I can't wrap my head around him passing any PED tests. This just isn't humanly possible.

oh look, this pathetic tryhard cheesehead is upset that no Dodger deserves the Cy Young this year. Sorry goober, your hero Greinke faltered in his last start against the Giants, no matter how you would like to claim otherwise. That's the cost of trying to keep up with a dude who 1 hits the Pirates over 7 innings the day before.

I don't think you know what that word means. And what does that say about Greinke, when his numbers are STILL better than Arrieta's? But he's faltered? You're giving credit to Arrieta for what he's recently (albeit on a small scale) done, while not giving credit to Greinke, who's done it for the ENTIRE season. That's pretty much the definition of "recency bias" buddy.

Also, I see you're seeking approval again. That's just adorable. I bet the ppl you keep @'ing roll their eyes every time they see your name in their notifications. lol, annoying ass kid for real.
