I think the problem was we had too many of those short and intermediate route type receivers. Perriman if healthy at least has the physical tools to keep a defense honest whether he can catch the ball or not. If he's healthy and they upgrade the o line the passing game looks pretty good. Really they weren't even much of an issue all season
i disagree

Smitty is really the only WR we have thats good in the short to intermediate game

The rest of those guys like Aiken and Butler can only find holes in a zone and any WR can do that

Play man and they can't get open to save their lives

The guys I named are legit and can be consistently productive against man or zone

Cooper and Sheppard have that elite quickness to consistently separate from DBs

Treadwell is extremely polished and a complete receiver. His 40 time will depend on how high he goes but hes gonna be great regardless

If he runs a 4.45 or faster the Ravens will definitely consider taking him @ 6

Ted Monachino took the DC job with the colts. Brooks and maybe the OL coach are quite possibly the only good member of our staff left on either side of the ball now. Early reports also suggest Pees will be keeping his job :snoop:

You gotta be fukking kidding me
I wish. We're in for another season of hate watching the team. I'm already bracing for a repeat of this past season. I'm not even sure I want to watch the team next year after how aggravating the last 5-6 years have been. Even the 2011 season was frustrating since cam was doing his best to cost us games every week. The last 15 games of 2012 were hate watching, and I think we all saw the 2013 season coming a mile away after the roster purge that offseason, and of course the past two seasons are pretty fresh in everyone's minds. Hard to enjoy watching this team play.

My thoughts too. Another year of blaming the players for bad coaching schemes, players not developing like they should, giving away late leads by playing prevent defense when up by 3 with a minute left, abandoning the run when the team runs well to throw at a good secondary or when the receivers are trash. The Browns don't even have a coaching staff and theirs is better than ours. Hopefully after next year maybe there'll be the purge that needs to happen on this team. It looks like they're hanging their hats on the team not allowing as many yards the last 7 games as improvement even though the good teams shredded them and they still allowed lots of points while not forcing turnovers or getting stops on third down. Has any team with as much core talent as the 2008-14 Ravens been as wasted by its own coaching as us? I can guess maybe the 2007-09 chargers, but that's about it.

Irritating. Every season feels like a season-long version of the 2011 nba finals (if you watch, it's clear that Dallas coached circles around Miami and it's the biggest reason why they won). I didn't pay as close attention to things like scheme when Billick was the coach but there's no way his staffs were this bad, were they?

:dahell:
Did them nikkas not go to the AFC championship twice and win a Superbowl during that span?
Ravens fans would have you believe they been rooting for the Lions or the Browns :wtf:

Long post coming. Cliff notes is it's infuriating to watch your coaching staff basically point shave and try to lose you games they're so bad and it's even worse when the roster is championship caliber...

And we kept blowing and nearly blew it. The entire second half of the super bowl after the power outage was infuriating to watch. Between bad play calls, sloppy play by the players, bad calls by the referees, and our DC calling the same play with the game on the line that he called for the 18-1 patriots that gave the Giants the lead it wasn't any fun until the clock hit triple 0's. The AFC title game was pretty fun in 2012. In 2011 watching Joe throw to a covered man instead of run for an easy first down when it was third down and watching harbaugh rush the kicking unit out there instead of call timeout to get everyone set was awful. The previous year when they took a 21-7 lead at the half against Pittsburgh and lost 24-31? When they sent a 3 man rush on third and 19 and gave up a 50 yard pass? They lose in the same manner every single game. The way they lost at home to Pittsburgh in 2010 and then made all the same key mistakes against Houston a week later? How about after taking a 20-10 lead in New England and then gain 1 first down the last 8 minutes of the game and overtime against the 28th ranked defense? Those losses cost us the division and the top seed. How about 2011 when they blew games against the Jaguars, Seahawks, Titans, and chargers, who all missed the playoffs? Giving up 7 touchdown passes on opening night in Denver? Routinely losing key games against the bengals where Joe always turns into Kyle Boller against them? Making the same mistakes for 8 years is infuriating.
