Chi Sox got Austin Jackson :ehh:

Rick Hahn did an exceptional job retooling this roster this offseason without having the luxury of signing a top flight FA, losing any draft picks or getting locked into big money long term. Even the cost of Frazier on our farm system wasn't bad.

I still think we are a bat short of being taken seriously, but this should be a solid season. A LaRoche comeback season would be HUGE but I'm absolutely not counting on it.

Very good stuff this offseason. Like where we are at.

I'm sick about the White Sox offseason. They got a lot of talent on cheap deals and have enough young talent mixed in that it could be a real good year for them if Sale/Quintana/Rodon stay healthy and perform :mjcry:

I think Latos and Jackson will be very good for yall. Maybe Latos is done and since he's been in the NL I havent noticed it, but I think if he's your 4th-5th starter, youre sitting pretty good.

Bullpen is still shaky and the Twins own Chris Sale, other than that, I think your team will be pretty good

I love Latos on a 1 year prove it deal, and if it doesn't work out, cut bait, no harm no foul. I think he's gonna be fighting for his career this season and if hes healthy, what a steal of a 4th/5th starter he will be. Bullpen isnt a world beater, but very serviceable.

Rodon is going to have a monster season though, breakout player of the year, calling it now. He has elite stuff.

Jackson, Frazier will be huge boosts defensively, where we really struggled. Austin also moves Eaton to a corner spot, so we upgrade two OF positions defensively with that singing. If he can bat 270, with a 750 OPS and his usual solid defense, that's a massive upgrade over Avi Garcia, who is basically a new negative.

We got 45 mil coming off the books next winter, and not one core player is becoming a FA.

Should be a fun summer

Not a Cubs fan, just being a realist

I feel sorry for fans of any team in their division for the next 10 years

Yea the division is virtually rebuilding everywhere...but after all these teams get done facing each other (reds, cubs, mil, pits, stl) throughout the year they all should be primed and ready to go...it's gonna be good :troll:

And Miguel Sano striking out at such a high rate is weird because he has such a good eye at the plate. He's gonna have to learn to start fouling more pitches off or not try and hit 500 foot home runs with every swing. I don't want the Twins to try and turn him into a slap hitter like they wanted David Ortiz to learn how but we can't have a guy hitting 4th who strikes out 30% of the time. :francis:

You act like Toronto is all the way up north. Minneapolis is further up north than Toronto
