That’s garbage, but I can’t be mad since they gave Detroit MiGOAT for Cameron Maybin and Andrew Miller.

This is a terrible look for the league though. New ownership was supposed to get away from this nonsense and it’s like Loria never left. This is some crony shyt I expected under Selig, not Manfred.

It is, but I guess that contract was an albatross that couldn't be maneuvered through. They aren't going to make anything happen without droppin bread but I'm guessing they are going to try to reup on some of the money they dropped on ownership for a few years by phoning in some mediocre but profitable seasons.

Guess the best case scenario for them is to eventually trot out a team that's performing at a level higher than their pay grade.

They already have trouble attracting fans. How is this gonna help attendance and TV ratings?

Miami is the 8th largest metro area in the country and they just built a new stadium with taxpayer money. This is just a terrible look all around.
