Cubs pitching & defense has regressed and everybody besides bryant,happ and baez slumping at the plate(heyward just came off dl).I don't know about this season lester the only reliable pitcher, arrieta lookin real shakey to be in a contract year,lackey sucks

He doesn't need to hit .200 when he catches everything. Here in Minnesota, we build complete teams, not just watch the box scores.

I agree but the cubs have played flat for 2 months,defense fell off and they have the worst velocity from starting pitching in all of mlb(last year defense and pitching were 1 and 2).Also several hitters are collectively slumping rizzo hitting.222.Don't know if it's fatigue or a world series hangover but they aren't playing like the cubs from the last 2 years.

You have too much talent you guys will be fine and the nl is weak this year so u can afford a slow start

WS hangover, Arrieta no longer juicing and Rizzo hitting like shyt. That division is still trash. Once Rizzo gets going, they'll be fine.

They need to figure out what they're gonna do with Schwarber though.

With happ up they can trade schwarber but theo loves the dude.I'd trade him to the al for a pitcher if a good deal was available

Schwarber sucks.
He's not THIS bad, but he's not an .850 OPS guy either.

And he can't field for shyt.
Best case scenario is your hero Theo ships him to some AL team as a DH once his numbers normalize a bit. Maybe get a 7th inning reliever and some A-ball talent.

Theo won't do it this year. He doesn't have the guts to...especially off a WS title. But he knows damn well Kyle's limited abilities.
