The Cubs took a chance and gave up Gleyber to shore up the bullpen and win the WS.

It was a very understandable trade.

But losing Gleyber AND Eloy is a sketchy move.

I don't want to call it a terrible trade since I think the Cubs have enough offense to win as it is. So losing an OF prospect that wasn't going to help this year anyway won't destroy them. But I don't think there was good enough value here.

Good haul for the White Sox.

I don't mind trading prospects Cubs have a ton of young position players on the cheap and need pitching it's just who they got

As I said if you're gonna gut the system try to get someone like Archer
