What's crazy is that his OPS so far for the month was Bonds for the entire 2004 season. 609 obp
will never come close to being matched

Buxton with a 3 HR game. Twins 1.5 up for the 2nd Wild Card. Pray to God Sano gets back and the youngest lineup in the league makes a run through October

Random thought, but I was thinking today about how in 1998, Juan Gonzalez hit 26 homers with 101 RBI --- IN THE FIRST HALF of the season.
He would actually hit better in the 2nd half, but without the same RBI opportunities and finished the season with 157 (still led the league).
He's kind of forgotten as one of the better sluggers of the 1990s though.

A lot of 90s sluggers are forgotten in the mix of juicing
Random thought: Imagine the Big Hurts numbers and accolades if he was juicing like everyone else
