Upton was going to opt out anyway. Angels gave up some mediocre prospects for rental. Tigers are full on rebuild mode now. Wish they could find someone to take verlanders and kinsler too.Because they aren't giving shyt up and they have a shot at a Wild Card spot.
I hate this Illitch kid who owns the team now and Al Avila.
They coulda just made a QO to Upton and got a comp pick. This pitcher they got back is supposed to be a reliever at best. Would rather take my chances in the draft.

Rizzo got sewed up 4 years ago fam.2 team options after '19 he's signed thru 2021 for 68 million total
The cubs best prospects are all pitchers de la cruz will be in the afl,alzolay was killing it at aa before an injury,got young gun named jesus carmago in low a and the best one of them all is jose albertos.They have plenty of picthing in the system that will be up in the next 2-3 years.They already have quintana,lester,hendricks they only need 2 more pitchers.
Every time I mention harper to the cubs a yankee fan quotes me asking how can they afford him like the cubs are the pirates/rays or something.Harper shiited on nyc he dont like that dump, his wife was hash tagging harper to the cubs and they both love the city.Why would he go to the yankees over the cubs? this aint the 1930's-1950's yankees washed.Cubs the leaders of the new school now
Btw Ian happ just set the record for most hr's by any rookie cub in their 1st 80 games.You told me "It's just spring training" The cubs have haters we made it

Still a little confused because that was the Phillies offering another one to Hellickson. Detroit hadn't made a QO to Upton; only the Padres had.
It's a moot point now, but if they were allowed to offer a QO, I'd rather have the pick
