Mets' Brandon Nimmo has strong eye, approach

Nimmo has damn near elite plate discipline and is a line drive hitter, he just needs playing time... he'll get it this year.
At the plate he’s a poor man’s Sean Casey. But at least Casey could hit.

Nimmo’s walks won’t mean much as the league is understanding that OPS matters more than OBP. This isn’t 2001 anymore.

We’ll see how 2018 plays out.

His weighted OPS is only a few points off his OBP though that's why he's seen as a value piece.

Weighted OPS or Adjusted OPS? I’m not sure I know what you mean by weighted.

His adjusted OPS was his 112 last year.

Short of a solid OBP Nimmo hasn’t shown any plus tools at all. On any level. Particularly at the minor league level where he should have been dominating.

Nimmo’s gonna have to develop some power quickly in my mind or he’s just another Denard Span.

Sonned the mets so bad, that he named his kid Shea :wow:

Honestly, I couldn't even hate on Larry after he did that. That's some boss shyt.

I actually miss when the Braves were good and on TBS. Being able to watch them and root for them to lose everyday. Rooting against the Braves was much more fun than rooting against the Phillies and Nats.
