And if this doesn't tell ya how broke the playoff system is in baseball, then I don't know what to say.

Now, the Cubs did benefit from this 3 years ago, so I don't feel that sorry for them.

But it needs to fixed.

Damn, they were leading damn near all season and now they out of it. Tragic. I went to two Cubs games this year cuz my girl a fan. I'm not a super big baseball fan but I casually cheer for the Cubs and Red Sox just cuz they were the "cursed losers" when I was a kid. I feel kInd of bad now. Not as bad as I feel after a Saints regular season loss...nowhere close to that lol...but still more bad than I usually feel for a baseball game.

Oh well, Cubs will always have 2016 at least.

And the trade off is you get a hyped ass wild card game but it’s a crapshoot for powerhouse teams. Because a one game “play in” game wouldn’t be an issue for a Curry/Durant/Bron type team but in baseball your own pitcher can ruin things.

But MLB has to take a look at how these division races are settled.

Nah. They had 2 bites at the apple, at home, and lost both. If they had won Saturday (also at home), they would've been watching this game from home waiting on the winner. That's 3 games in 4 days, where all they had to do was win once. Oh, and in those 3 games, they scored 3 runs. Combined. It's their own fault they're out now.
