That's what it was too. Like a "Gotta get in the gym" and he looked at his own dugout so he obviously wasn't showing off. But that's baseball these days. Personality puts you at risk of a fastball coming for you

That was fantastic
:russ:

I actually think it looked more like "i gotta get stronger. That should have been a HR"

whatever tho, I loved it

Another 10 game win streak for my Stros!!
Out here racking up these tie breakers that will weigh heavier later in the season. :banderas:

Doing all this without our league mvp even playing right now

Tyler White almost cost us a couple runs with that bumblehead ass error at 1st

They need to go ahead and put Martin in relief and give the ball back to the breh Josh James to start. Martin stuff to wild and Wade Miley stuff is too flat. Mcgugh runs out of gas too early and Peacock is too streaky.

I don’t think Martin will be here long. Josh does need to get back in the roatation and Peacock in the pen. Miley is just here to log innings. Come July they will upgrade.

Bryant is the king of hitting hr’s and getting his #’s when the cubs are up or down 7-8 runs

Baez is more clutch and comes through in critical spots , he’s just not as disciplined overall their numbers are close across the board except in on base %

I’m excited to see Baez in person when they come in a couple of weeks

Went most of my baseball watching life with the Twins style of ball being slapping it the other way, bunting, pitchers who got groundouts and good defense. Now this team has a legit shot at 6-7 players hitting over 20 home runs. This shyt is crazy :wow:

The Twins minor league system is pretty good too so if they get the guts, they can and should add another starter or reliever. The Cleveland baseball has basically punted on the season and if the Twins keep winning, could make it easier for cleveland to try and trade Bauer and/or Kluber.

Buxton living up to his potential :ohhh:
Buxton's launch angle is 21 degrees (18th highest in the majors) and he's hitting 52.4% fly balls.

By comparison, he hit 33% fly balls last year, and 38% the year before.
52% fly balls with that launch angle is extreme...you're talking about Joey Gallo/Lucas Duda levels here. So expect Buxton to strike out quite a bit given his pace. But it is better than hitting the ball on the ground as much as he used to. And he's hitting the ball hard as well (at least according to Statcast).

Don't sleep on these metrics, folks.
:jawalrus:

...I just wish the Twins wouldn't bat Buxton 9th. Marwin Gonzalez doesn't belong anywhere near the middle of the lineup.
And for the record, Jason Castro is hitting the ball better than Mitch Garver...even if Garver has more homers. When he comes back, he's gonna regress a bit. :sas2:

Good shyt. Once people start following and using all these metrics then fans will start understanding some of these teams logics.
