war seems accurate to me, cabrera 88 mil for -.4 war for the last 3 seasons :mjmoneyy:

:russell:

I must have forgotten the part when I said this is the worst team in baseball for the last two years. You should be more concerned with your GM blowing a potential dynasty with failed FA signings and not trading for Verlander. :umad:

Trammels been hurt all year he’s a legit very good prospect

They probably see Reyes as more of a DH
The Indians desperately needed a dh.

We've had kipnis batting in the four spot for a couple months now:hhh:

This trade should hopefully send him to 6-8

Edwin Diaz lack of control on his fastball right now actually looks dangerous

Can someone who understands WAR explain how the fukk Lance Lynn and Mike Minor are leading AL pitchers in WAR by a comfortable margin? Is there some insane overcorrection because their home games are in Arlington?

Verlander, Morton and Cole all have superior numbers across the board. Giolito too but his IP are behind; Bieber and Berrios as well.

Lynn's is a mirage IMO....his FIP (Fielding Independant Pitching) is like a run lower, which is a lot. Hes leaving no one on base and has yet to give up an unearned run which has increased his WAR by about .4 or .5. His BABIP is high too...its some smoke and mirrors shyt I think.

Yea cuz the Astros have a dynasty despite the fact they won a World Series, then lost in the championship series the next season in 5 just like the cubs

50-60 mil coming off payroll, get under the cbt, good prospects close ,high upside prospects in the pipeline.New tv deal and betts who theo drafted a fa after next season, dynasty only postponed :cubsumad: and hamels been great for much cheaper

What about Minor? He's been better than Lynn but worse than the other guys I listed but still has a higher WAR. Is it the same kinda thing?

The Mets are only five losses out of the Wild Card spots. With deGrom, Thor and Stroman, they could make a run at it. I'm not sure why that trade got panned so much from the Mets point of view.

I'm not as sure about Minor...havent watched him or looked into it...I took an interest in keeping up with Lynn since he was so terrible at times with the Twins last year
