You laugh but it’s hard to build a good bullpen. Rizzo done pretty well considering what we started the year with. And then all the other contenders werent any better/luckier.
I mean, the Cubs bit the bullet and committed multi year to Kimbrel and we saw how that turned out . Braves went for it with Melancon and Greene and they've both sucked meanwhile, The guys the Nats got for peanuts have been decent.

I’m happy Rizzo's did not give up the farm/tax for relievers. It just doesn't make any sense to commit any kind of long term money or give up any decent prospects for bullpen guys. They are ridiculously unpredictable and not worth the gamble


But keep sleeping. Nats are different and better without Harper

Didn’t mind going to Hader in the 8th. He’s done it before, successfully. My issue is staying with him when it was clear he couldn’t locate. I understand why he didn’t pull him, and hindsight is 20/20, but damn. Dude was all over the place.

We had the game where we wanted it, and shyt went up in flames. Brutal end to our season.

That is bullshyt. He managed the game of his life. Stuck with Max in the 5th when he was in a jam. Brought in Stras to relieve. Multiple times he had Zimmerman lined up to pinch hit but pulled him back and sent another batter up due to the circumstance and both times the runner got on. Then he went with Zimmerman at the right moment when Taylor got HBP. Then also he went with Hudson in the 9th instead of Doolittle.
