I was surprised he didnt especially after Taylor got on but I understand. Strasburg at bat was terrible but Buehler was looking good and I guess he wanted to save matt Adams for later in the game. Definitely close but I guess he cared more about keeping the Dodgers at 3 runs then getting them back there.

I think it's a closer call than some have said, but I'd still have hit for him.

Of course, his abomination of an at bat made the decision look significantly worse.

No shyt, lol. It wasn't about taking out Strasburg, but maximizing your scoring opportunity down 3 runs in an elimination game.

I misunderstood your post. I still agree with the decision though. If there were two outs, it woulda been a tougher call but you still have the top of the order with one out and two guys on. You have to trust that, especially with how bad their pen is and Strasburg was keeping them in it.

Come on, you aren't this dense. Three runs is more than manageable, especially with the way the ball is flying out of the park these days. Strasburg is one of their aces and he'd settled down.

Again, their pen is dogshyt. If Martinez went to the pen that early, they weren't winning tonight.

Seager was trash, too. Didn't get a single hit w/ RISP. Strasburg's pitch count was rising in the first inning. He was on the ropes before Seager GIDP which ended the inniqng.
