If Lamar ain't playing a 2nd game in a row. We saw how the offensive line is worse without Lamar. Now is the time to experiment with the line....

LT->Stanley
LG->Cleveland or Vinson or Jones
C->Linderbaum
RG->Bullock or Vinson or Jones
RT->Rosengarten

The fact that the coaches believed the Texans should've been our "get right" game...confirms the levels of delusion in the building SMH

I got a feeling Faalele will not start this week, but the alternative isn't much better. It's either going to be Noteboom or Cleveland.

EDC should be fired for allowing us to go into another season with such a terrible oline and dline :camby:

I don't think it's on EDC...it's coaching.
It takes two to trade.
Based on where we drafted, besides Simmons, and Jihaad Campbell...I'm cool Starks since we needed a Safety.

Salary cap league
-Which unit on the team could we have gone "weaker" for more online/dline help?
-Based on your answer...how?

....Based on the circumstances, it's not on EDC, I haven't seen detailed, logical reasoning why EDC should be fired...
No matter the unit, player, situation...it all comes back to coaching
Harbaugh's position coaches would ruin EDC draft picks
Harbaugh's ego would rather red-shirt, inactive healthy players EDC acquired who can help the team

On the offensive line....It's all garbage, I already explained how much of a football terrorist Warhop is.
On the defensive line we coach the "edge", "creativity", "tenacity" out of our guys

My biggest issue with EDC is that he spends too many picks on projects and most haven't worked out. Yes I get coaching is to blame but some of the guys we are starting should not be starting for a team that is supposed to be competing for a SB. Guys can't block, can't tackle, can't cover, etc. That's not all on coaching. And while I think Starks will eventually be a solid player for us, I feel like we needed line help so why not take Campbell or Simmons? Why not overspend to get someone here who is going to be a game changer, instead of waiting until we are 1-4 to make those same moves? And I think the coaching staff needs to go along with him. I think the problems with this team have been there for many years, and it's a combination of the roster and the staff.

Question time….
Who are the projects?
Who are/were the alternatives to said projects?

Can we start speaking in facts, and truth. Instead general terms.

Guys who previously could block, tackle, and cover…all of a sudden can’t. That’s not talent if they did it before, that’s coaching because they aren’t setup for success.

-When you’re predictable on offense of course the defensive line will have a jump on you and make it more difficult to block.
-When the coach has favorites and refuses to make it competitive on who starts…coaching.
-When your offensive line coach passes away, forced to sign Warhop. I already posted the PFF rankings of Warhop teams. They perform better when he leaves.

-Went from historically great defense with majority of the same players to this…coaching
-This soft press giving up 5 to 8 yards to receivers. Its clear guys aren’t picking up the route concepts, always trailing, never around the ball. Bad on run, pass, getting off the field. Teams constantly going for it on 4th.

It’s 100% coaching
=====
Even if we got said game changer in Micah Parson. I have a feeling the coaches will coach what makes him great out of him.

I said this pages ago, if Bischotti not going to do it. On defense, our players need a mutiny, go rogue and call their own damn plays

The problem is that if things are so bad that the defense would improve if they just ignored the coaches and called their own plays, then it’s long past time for them to go. You need Ray or Ed levels of equity to ignore play calls without getting benched, and nobody on the defense has that.

Very true.

I’m hoping Orr simplifies things and run a vanilla press man defense.

On the offensive side of things, Ricard was seen practicing. Hopefully he’s back and can help on the run game.

Ray and Ed could do shyt like that because they were football savants

They knew what the offense was doing on damn near every play

These players don’t put in the time in the film room to reach those levels

I don’t even think most of these guys realize the scheme is ass and putting them in a position to fail

By 2009 they’d have been finishing 8-8 if Ray didn’t know better than to trust mattison’s scheme. Maybe the most famous play of his career is him ignoring the coverage his DC called with the game on the line to shoot through the line to stuff Darren Sproles on 4th down at the goal line. The red flags were on clear display after just 2 games without Rex Ryan coordinating the defense.
