I'm not about to sit here and tell you 21 Savage is an incredible rapper who makes incredible music (though that No Advance beat is great), but he's noticeably better than most new nikkas y'all stan

why? I tried to listen to his earlier shyt and it was fukking garbage. I haven't heard all of it or even close but those old tracks don't have nice beats. and his flow isn't as refined as it is on Savage Mode.

No Heart one of the best gangsta rap songs I've heard in years.

It's a dope project but my problem is that while the beats are dark they still have the same-y weak drums everyone else uses. I wish that late 90s Louisiana sound would come back...it's prob gonna happen actually. Give me harder drums to go with those gloomy beats.

the beats on savage mode are dope. 21 is cool on it sometimes, but some tracks ran together for me. i like ocean drive the most. but im not clamoring to hear more of him. without metro producing that album, this thread prolly wouldnt exist.

hes not mumble rap at all, youre right there. but i think his flow/delivery is currently the opposite of a lot of people in atl right now, i feel like him and metro talked about that on that new noisey episode.

makes me wonder if we will start to see more 21 savage clones, not in name, but in style, coming out in 2017

based on those tracks, 21 improved big time. His voice is more commanding now and his production is vastly superior.
