savage mode is this decade's the infamous

In a way, yes. It's more of a Hell on Earth vibe to be honest. But that's still a super strong statement. Both albums are far superior.

I will say this though: if you tell me you're a huge Wu-tang, Mobb Deep, 3-6 Mafia fan (essentially that haunting Loud Records vibe), and you front on ASAP Rocky, Drake, Lil B and 21 Savage, I know you're full of shyt. You don't really listen to Wu, Mobb Deep and 3-6 like that. You're probably one of those pretending cacs mentioning Wu/Mobb to build some kinda weird wigger cred.
Because the four new cats I mentioned are the most hip hop of this era and it's obvious as fukk.

I tried to listen to this nicca..played his album 3 straight times to get a feel...shyt just sounds like garbage to me.
Took the shyt off and threw on that Benny the butcher On Steroids shyt instead.
DISCLAIMER: I am a golden era NYer,so a nicca like "21 savage" sound like some shyt my nephew do in the mirror.

:dead::dead: This era of so called Hip Hop is sad as fukk, breh.

True. But it gets way worse than the four I mentioned. You have 3 options after them:

1. Mind-numbing, fiend-worshipping, Instagram-tricking, grooveless, singles-driven urban pop (e.g. Migos, Young Thug, 2Chainz, Future, etc)
2. Fake-deep, squeaky-voiced, non-threatening, alternative/hybrid RnB-gospel-pop marketed as goat rap (e.g. Kendrick, J Cole, Chance, etc)
3. Drumless, low energy, charisma-less vocals, low mental investment, zero creativity, flabby-on-arrival imitation boom bap. (e.g. Roc Marciano/Griselda trash)

What do you consider golden era and who are your all-time favorite rap acts?

What type of rapper would you be?

I consider the golden era to be from 94 to 2004,
where some of the greatest leaps in lyricism took place.
I couldn't even name all my Top Mc's,but Jay,Nas,Big,Pun,Black thought,Sean Price,OutKast...they are all from that era...Cannibal Ox also dropped The Cold Vein during that time...lord jesus....

If I were a rapper.... :patrice: Never really thought about it. Some sort of a mix of Nas, Ghost and ASAP Rocky

What exactly do you mean by 'lyricism?' I know the common thought on lyricism, but break it down. When you say a dude is lyrical, what are they doing that is so special and needed in 2017?
