Honorable Mentions:

If there was a top 3 the following would be 2 and 3

2.

This one was so good Madonna had to jack it to make a hit for herself

Public Enemy - Security of The First World

3.

A Bronx/Hip Hop anthem

Showbiz & A.G. - Party Groove

others:

Even Jay Electronica had to spit over this one..

DJ Premier & Group Home - Living Proof Intro

Still wonder why no one ever spit over this one..

Da Lench Mob - Inside Tha Head Of A Black Man

The Best one out of all of them...

DJ Quik - Quik's Groove III

Out of all those Petestrumentals, I found one that sounded like it had the most potential to actually be on radio behind some well put together vocals.

Pete Rock - More Petestrumentals 25

This one is perfect until it gets to the middle @ 1:33

J Dilla - Workinonit

Luda and Bronze Nazreth have tried at it on the same sample but MF Doom just did it the best

MF Doom - Orris Root Powder

Cant blame Ghostface for taking this track

MF Doom - Dragon Blood

I can still picture Chris Brown on this one

Just Blaze - Miracle

This might b the GOAT 70's R&B instrumental song.

Junkie Song by Curtis Mayfield and Contusion by Stevie Wonder are cool songs but this was the song that defined the term "Quiet storm" plus it gave Jeff and Prince their biggest hit.
