I think he gives the strongest performances in those films. He's great in others, but is often overshadowed by GREAT, often all-time performances (Day-Lewis, Blanchett, Winslet, Honsou)

I still don't know why the Weinstein's didn't push his performance in that. I know Christoph won and that's great for him because duke is talented but I think they dropped the ball on that one.

That's a good list. Leo is elite so you have to be an all time great to beat him. Like Daniel Day Lewis.

Agree. I love Waltz' performance, but it was too similar...and not as great imo...to Hans Landa.

Leo dominated every scene he was in. The dinner table scene alone should've won him the award.

Leo doesnt have any :whoo: performances. I was stanning Chitwetel the hardest and wanted him to win until I saw Dallas Buyers Club in December. I saw his performance, and it was clear Matty Mc was here and was going to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. Dude was amazing and put in that spell-binding, "there is no chance anyone else can win" performance. Leo has never had that. He is a great actor, but he never dominates. Even in Wolf of Wall Street, you could argue Jonah Hill put in a slightly better performance.

Jonah Hill will be around for a while. He's very good at channeling characters.

Will's more of a "hollywood" legend than Bill. The theme of the night was to have hollywood legends present in one way or another or former winners or nominees. Will has two nominations to his name I believe. So when someone got upset at Sidney coming out with Angelina, it wasn't about him choosing the white woman lol it was about the director or producer pairing up one legend with an oscar winner
