especially for the script. considering its basically all dialogue the whole movie the script really keeps you engaged the whole time, i loved listening to their conversation.

i think it deserved noms for script, actress and picture at least. maybe it was in an awkward place cause its an american film but mostly in a foreign language?

Much like the 'one black film to rule them all' the Academy probably didn't feel any desire to nominate another Asian heavy movie next to Parasite.

They're still the #Oscarssowhite after all. In fact, they probably used Parasite to excuse the need to forcibly nominate one black film as well.
