...So I went to that Raleigh Supercon and it was actually pretty cool. There was a bunch of people too nerdy for my taste, but everyone was polite and did their own thing so it was cool overall. Met a couple cool people up there. They had a TON of stuff to do, between video game tournaments, board games, celebrity Q & A sessions, autograph sessions, professional photo ops and a bunch of other stuff. I ran into a cool black comic book team and bought some of their merch and talked with them for a bit. Their comic is Tuskegee Heirs. If you haven't heard of them check them out. They definitely deserve your support. They're humble and are out here working hard to bring black characters to the forefront. Greg Burnham was showing me some videos of a pilot they're working on to make the comic books into a cartoon.
Other than that, I'd say it's something I would go back to. I don't recommend it for everyone because there was a lot of time spent standing in lines, but overall for me, the experience was dope.
