So my niece has been begging me to take over my ps4 so she can play with it. She has a ps3 and we usually play one of the old call of duty games, I think modern warfare. I wouldn't mind taking it since I rarely use it these days but it's too much of a hassle disconnecting it and dragging it over there. Maybe for Christmas her family will all want to pitch in and get her one.
So instead I took her my mini genesis system. The one that has games built in. I really hadn't used it much at all so I told her she can hold on to it. Give her something different to play with.
Then she asked me to bring over my wii. I haven't used my wii since I got my tv about a year ago and it was already disconnected. I plugged it in after work last night to fukk around with it. The thing about my wii is that I had modded it and had it perfect. Had all the good games. Both Zelda games, Mario galaxy 2, call of duty, Madden, donkey Kong, and others. All on a small western digital passport hard drive. That's the only reason I used to mess with the wii cuz before that I really didn't much. Only games I had physical were Wii sports, def jam rap game, dj hero, and Mario galaxy 1.
Now before I put it away in my closet, the external drive was acting up. I was like ok maybe it's not working, no worries, I'm packing it away anyways. So I plug it in to mess with it last night and the hard drive still not working. I plug it into my computer and it's not recognized. So I'm thinking it's probably dead. I tried looking for a way to reformat it or start new but it has no power button, reset button, nothing but a small led light. Most of the mod data should be on the sd card. I think just the iso files are on the hard drive. I don't mind looking for them again, hopefully the save files are on the system or sd card. Just frustrating dealing with this dead hard drive. I thought maybe it was the cable but I doubt it. Maybe I'll buy a cheap hard drive and see. It was a small one with not even a tb of space.
Unrelated but I was looking thru my old Amazon order history to see if I had purchased it from there. Didn't find out but found my old 3tb drive that I still have full of old tv shows and cartoons. I paid 180 for it maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Fast forward to today where I recently paid 160 for a 8 tb one when best buy had a sale. Funny how when you look back at things from the past and compare the costs. Almost three times the data and paid less.
