I wouldn’t say look away. That sounds like they supported him. Most people DONT want conflict. Bystander effect on a national scale. They much rather use diplomacy to find common ground with their enemies (see Russia/China/North Korea today). We don’t support what these dudes are doing. We just don’t want to bother going to war with them. It was the same back then. Even as vile as Hitler was, it was basically “we’re not gonna send our kids to go die over something we’re not involved in” kinda thing even though it was foul. Then Hitler overstepped.

yup, America didn't care much until they tryed to link up with mexico to fight and retake texas.

the USA knew Japan was about to surrender in the next few weeks and still nuked them. Op is on point.
Source? Because I have read books and watched countless documentaries on WWII and I have NEVER heard that. In fact, after the second bomb was dropped, the Emperor met with his top 6 military generals to discuss what to do next. They took a vote on surrender. 3 generals said surrender, the other 3 said continue fighting:wtf:. It was up to the Emperor to break the tie and he said surrender.

Japan warcrimes in the Pacific were on a whole other fukking level. You want to talk about something absurd, its Hirohito not being tried and hung.

But they started that shyt and they lost so :manny:

They weren't going to surrender - or at least quick enough to keep Russia out of everything.

The island fighting was some of the nastiest shyt in the war. It would've been the closest thing to siege warfare of that era but on a massive scale. :scust:

They got warned multiple times beforehand, got nuked, and still wanted to fight.
There's no way they were planning to just surrender

The Germans killing six million jews was. But dropping the atomic bomb on hiroshima and nagasaki is a close second.
We off that. Talking that media induced rhetoric.

And the crack epidemic is worse and criminalisation of black men.

Way more casualties but media and everyone will ignore this in thie racist white world.

Yeah but Japan started it so it ain't really looked at like that.

The Coli ain't gonna like this, but there we're good theories that Japan was going to surrender to Russia than the United States. The bombs were bad, but once the Soviets invaded their island, they knew they couldn't stand a chance as the only Axis Power.

Honestly they did lol. They never include the trade embargoes we put on them before the war. They spent years trying to son Japan. They did kind of deserve them because of the atrocities they were committing in Korea, China, etc. The decided to attack during a diplomatic meeting in the US and they also physically invaded Alaska. I don’t think the bombs were morally right but that fight would have lasted years and was more merciful than continued firebombings.
Exactly. We were keeping them from getting oil among other things. I learned in high school that if anybody were to ever get in the way of the USA getting it's oil, its an automatic war.
