Tbh, I just found out last year :manny: . Now I see why I never got a straight answer when I would ask one of these locals where they were, when I first moved here.
That’s shocking. I only know of one other major city in the US with no happy hour and that’s Boston. You right that DC is huge with happy hour. Every place has happy hour.

Most people I know from the A say it hasn't been the same since the 90s. I remember when I lived there in 2001, while I was happy to be there, the natives were bragging about moving OUT Atlanta.

But overall...NO city is the same in 2022. The entire world has changed. The world is evolving.

The 90s with OutKast, goodie mob, so so def up until Luda and TI Atlanta for me was dope, then has went downhill from there especially with broke transplants moving there just to party and bullshyt and now u have the LA gang influence and Chicago beef and so called wakanda has turned into the Fred Sanford Junkyard

I don't deny that Atlanta fell off, only people who grew up there in the 80s and 90s can speak on that
But regardless they still speaking from a position of "Atlanta privilege" . Even in 2022 Atlanta is still a better place for black folks than any other major city with a significant black presence. Only place really comparable is DC/PG county
So sure maybe it "fell off" but it would still be a upgrade in quality of life for majority black folks moving there

Before social media and music videos, every city had its own vibe. Now people all across the world are acting like what they see online. Sheep.

I remember the world before social media, you could drive an hour away and the slang would be different, Street dress code different.
SM made the world too small.
