That's crazy.

I had no idea that going outside would also help make me a more full person.

It's a really good thing you went off topic and made sure to inject that piece of relevant information, while the rest of us are talking about reading books.
Im not off topic. I'm objecting to the idea that reading books makes you more well rounded.

This type of logic is really narrow minded and straight up stupid.

You can watch whatever you want as entertainment and separate it from real responsibility in your life.

Watching Reality TV isn't going to make someone less of a friend, parent, student, hard worker

what's this about?
High frequency trading, its affect on the market in swindling plenty of traders and how a dude from the Royal Bank of Canada devised aa strategy/ program to combat it. I'm a finance geek so it was an okay read but disappointing.

Very informative though

I like to read, but I never judge or look down on those who don't. I'll admit I'm a pretty sporadic reader myself. I've only read a handful of books this year, but they've all been enjoyable reads.

My man Mike truly has lived an incredible life. Gets kind of repetitive towards the end because Mike kept relapsing and fukking up over and over again. The beginning really sets the stage and explains most of why his life has turned out the way it has. Being the son of a prostitute and having a father that's a pimp will do that to you.

This story hit me hard and was an amazing read in my opinion. Even though by just looking at the cover and reading the title you know what eventually happens, but you still find yourself hoping for a different ending.

Fantastic read right here...a father pens a letter to his son explaining the current conditions of being black in america right now. Crazy thing is the older people know quite a few Michael Browns personally, which means the shyt that's going on isn't new or groundbreaking. I remember a kid who was gunned down by a cop in junior high for running away. Coates tackles a lot in the book though going through his own upbringing in Baltimore.

Hope I can slide through a few more books before the year ends. Reading is something you have to make time for if you really want to do it. I think most people who are great at what they do did some form of educating themselves through reading or researching what they do. People look at reading like its nothing but words in your head, but its probably one of the most useful things we have as human beings.

Yes it is. I make sure i back them a up online so that i'll never lose my books again. I cried like a lil baby when i saw my books as ashes on the floor.

You just have to find something that captures your mind. I'll start reading like 10 books before i find one that i don't want to put down lol. But i enjoy it. I read like others watch television. I read so much that i stopped watching tv cause it was taking away from my reading time lol. I don't play bout my books.
I even wrote a couple of poems about reading:mjlol: im so lame.
Nah but really start at your favorite genre and skim through books from there. There is bound to be one that takes a hold of your mind and imagination.

I breezed through hunger games, world War z, catcher in the rye.

I got some new books but didnt delve into them too much

Anne frank, the conquest of happiness, this history you forgot book, and game of thrones
