No one said that educated equalled nerdy, but you are certainly more likely to find people who fit under the "nerdy" distinction in highly educated groups. Neither do black men, yet here we are talking as if a significant portion of you could be classified as nerdy.

Congrats to your friends but their relationships(if they even exist) are not representative of the typical interactions between black women and black men who do not exemplify the stereotypical "thuggish" black male. You may have life experiences I'm not saying you don't but you come across as delusional and willing to say anything in order to plead a case as to why a non-thuggish black man who doesn't do well when pursuing his own race of women is solely at fault. I say this because it seems you lack clear insight or you are totally non observant to the interactions of the black youth. This doesn't have anything to do with looking for pity at least not on my part but rather addressing issues that are evidently hindering progression amongst blacks as a race. One issue that was brought up in this thread is the fact that about half of young bm live like or attempt to copy the persona of a thug player or just an I Don't Give A fukk type of guy. The reason I listed those other two examples after a thug is because their are levels to this shyt. I'm not saying all these guys out here are "bang bang shoot em up rob the grocery store" some are just guys with bad attitudes and nothing going for them or players however the one thing they all have in common is a lack of regard for the opposite sex or anyone else besides themselves for that matter. Some how we ended up talking about geeks and comic books and shyt lol. But this all has a deeper meaning media as a whole needs to change what kind of black man is perceived as "the man" before reliable black males become acceptable with not only the MAJORITY of black women but other black men as well lol.
