No reason to, growing up, I ain’t know anyone who lived in SF, then at the functions hoods from Oakland, SF and Richmond all had funk so I wasn’t meeting no one that way, then after college I was too bourgie and gentrified to want to be in the hood
Historically, I feel like people stay out the areas they supposed to stay out in the Bay. There’s hella people born in raised in certain hoods in the Bay that literally never been down the street from where they live because it was so dangerous. Hella San Franciscans rarely crossed the bridge into Oakland when I was growing up in the 80’s and 90’s. Can you blame them? Oakland stayed in the top three most dangerous cities list and the Town was definitely known for robbing. But some Oaklanders felt the same way about Frisco because they were aware how turned up project nikkas in the city was.
It’s depressing as hell there, but I can’t talk I grew up visiting my granddad in the TL surrounded around crackheadsI saw some vid where some dude from 65 Ville(Lockwood) was talking about how he barely been to other parts of Oakland let alone other parts of the bay. How he just lives and breaths Lockwood. Barely been to West Oakland, barely been to North Oakland, barely go anywhere deep east. Richmond is so small but so wild. Oakland is changing too. Yup. And that’s why the hood is like the only place in SF with a high concentration of fat mawfukkas. nikkas don’t go anywhere. Especially the hustlers, they just grind post and eat all day.
I remember it looking like a whole ‘nother world out there 
I was a teenager, but pretty well seasoned by that time, and i’ll always remember it as the only place where i’ve ever felt genuinely ooked at being at after all these years of being on this earth.
For real though and they make Oakland seem like it’s so bad but it was way nicer than Frisco
