Might have to put this one on the back burner. I can't sit through another season like S3 for even a little bit when there's potential heat in the oven elsewhere :patrice:
S3 felt like set-up, set-up, set-up, and no pay off.

This one was contemplative too but saw personal growth with its characters in the end. Show is a shell of what S1 was, yet still good television at the same time and does just enough to continue on the Emmys love.

*sigh*

I used to enjoy seeking out others reactions b/c I think I was looking for others to validate my feelings on media. I was into something, so I sought out others into the same thing to share in that joy.

Now, even in a series that is overwhelmingly loved and awarded, the only comments to be found are those to pick apart and criticize and ask for what the series was never offering in the first place and endless etcetera...

Like, it's not supposed to be going anywhere.

Every goddamn voice that sprouted up about SSN 3 &/or 4 and is commenting about a fukking linear episodic narrative about this restaurant is missing the entire point of the show regarding the food and business and success of such being completely ancillary and arbitrary to the character arcs going on.

Yes, Richie is finding success and purpose through this venture but it's the vehicle for his character; not the show emphasis itself.

Let the show be the show; don't have your fan fiction of what you want it to be overwrite the narrative they're portraying.

I'm automatically dismissing any opinion saying these last two seasons aren't moving the story forward.

Reexamine how you determine a story arc.
Naaaaaah breh:mjlol: acting like nikkas just popping up out the blue just to hate on this show is ridiculous. Most of the complaints are from die hard fans of what the show initially offered.

The show has gotten progressively more pretentious and bloated to the point where nikkas are :dahell: and the takes in your post are part of the problem

"It's not supposed to be going anywhere"

:dahell: breh we consume stories for a reason. People follow and grow attached to characters, and expect some sort of payoff or progression in said characters. Season 2 handled this masterfully.

I always juxtaposed the Tina episodes in season 2 and 3 for emphasis. In season 2s Tina episode we see her go to culinary school and develop a deeper pride in her work. Remember when she returns the knife she borrowed from Carm and Carm tells her "That's your knife chef"? That's what makes people love the Bear. That's why we follow character journeys. Tina's episode serves development towards the larger goal of locking in opening the restaurant Meanwhile the Season 3 Tina episode, while good didn't really serve a purpose outside of giving you Tina's backstory. On the surface it's fine but it doesn't really link with the present day plot, of which there was none

The disconnect with season 3 is it's just scenes. The show meanders with disjointed scenes that come off like pretentious moment material for nikkas to make dramatic YouTube shorts of. And like I said last year it's obvious they've stretched the show out because it's so popular. This is how you end up with nothing seasons. It's not just the Bear that's been doing this lately

It's not about nikkas having fan fiction ideas, it's about the disappointment nikkas feel when they watch an entire season of a show and it feels like everyone is right where they started on episode one

When you get up your own ass and greedy about drawing these things out it shows in the product and nikkas subconsciously feel disrespected for having their time taken advantage of

This is the year of disappointing follow-up seasons for just about everything except Andor

I am a fan of the show shameless.
You seen both US and UK versions?
If so, which one is better?
I almost always see clips of what I think is the American one since this "Lips" guy and his younger brother who says he's black or some shyt, feature heavy throughout and hardly anything from the UK version.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
That last line is a double aunt andre :russ:
It should look at The Good Place as a show that hit and knew when to hang it up
This is that type of show
One maybe two seasons tops and ride off into the sunset
There’s not much left to tell in this show
Square these plot points up and be done
I would hate to see this go past anything else
