The Bears made a mistake to take Caleb Williams over Jayden Daniels

Caleb isn't perfect but most of his problems were in his control, and they would have harmed Jayen too. First off...bad GM who prioritizes toys over securing an o-line. That Rome Odunze pick was stupid when you know your o-line is bad and there were multiple top 10-worthy lineman available. Second, bad lameduck HC who should have been fired months before the draft. Third...a collection of bad OCs. No QB could have operated in that chaos.

Maybe Jayden will always be better but we cannot properly measure Caleb until he has an actual shot at success.

No one had an issue with the Bears picking Odunze in real time. The Bears fans were giddy about it. The thought process at the time was the Bears went 7-10 last year (3 of those games lost by poor coaching) with Fields having that same poor offensive line and no real weapons. Then we got more weapons and a “superior” QB, so great things were expected. Except we finished 5-12…

but wasn't the complaints on Bryce Young that he didn't have those so called toys?

Fans being fine with it is not the same as it being a bad pick given who was available. Whether you're drafting for need or best player available...a lineman was the obvious choice. Poles has casually ignored the trenches for awhile and it's why they struggle against the rest of the division.

crodie got sacked like 70 times, had 5 different coaches, didn't sit out any games and never made an excuse. you can think he the worse qb in the L but he definitely tough :huh:


You can tell by his body language he's suffering in silence.

It wasn’t just the fans. All the “experts” gave the Bears an A in the draft
