Also for my fellow brehs trying to get into the Tech field something I've been looking at are these "Apprenticeship" programs that some of the major Tech companies offer.
IBM Apprenticeship Program, which lasts approximately 12 months, is an official registered apprenticeship recognized by the Department of Labor (DOL). Every graduate of a Registered Apprenticeship program receives a nationally-recognized credential from the DOL.

During the apprenticeship duration, you will be required to complete specific learning hours and on the job training that has been outlined to ensure you are developing the skills and competencies essential to the role. You will be able to learn and grow at your own pace, but we expect most apprentices will complete their learning within 12 months. Once you graduate and receive your certificate from our apprentice program, you will be eligible to apply to available full-time roles at IBM.

I doubt it's paying 6 figures because it's an "Apprenticeship" but after the year you can apply for a full time job there or at the least you have some experience

Software Engineer Apprentice Job in ROCHESTER, MN | IBM
Software Engineer Apprentice Job in TUCSON, AZ | IBM
Software Engineer Apprentice Job in RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC | IBM
Software Engineer Apprentice Job in POUGHKEEPSIE, NY | IBM

I shouldve stuck with computer engineering and not veer off into web design. Especially with all these programs available now for ppl to make their own website easily smh. I gotta get my A+ certification at least to start

Yeah I hate to say this but I still don’t know how to multiply, Divide, fractions etc. I cheated in every math class all four years.

But on the flip side I had AP English, AP Chem, AP Bio all that shyt. I’ve written essays and shyt that got awards/recognition. But can’t do long division to save my life :dead:
You didn’t make it through AP Chem not knowing math. You would be fukked the minute you start Moles.

I just started learning python. Last time I took programming I was learning C+ ages ago and I struggled.

I'm hoping I'm more focused now but...:lupe:
Python is cake compared to c++, you got this breh. Positive thinking.

:mjlol: They keep talking about openings but 80% of data science jobs required a master or PHD & are not entry level positions,
True, most data science positions I’ve seen want a masters or minimum 2-3 years experience. The position right under it, data analyst is usually entry level.
I can't do math on a HIGH HIGH level to save my life
From what I’ve heard you barely use the calculus and above, it mostly depends on which career you’ve picked.

Honestly data science jobs seem harder to get than software jobs
And a lot of data scientists....are quitting and becoming software engineers
