So then how can you espouse people following it?It's not about changing QBs for the hell of it, it's about not handcuffing your team to QBs that aren't elite and thusly requiring elite contributions, that they are unable to provide. Most QBs can win for you if you put the right squad around them and take the pressure off them.
its the reality of the sport. With a hard salary cap its virtually impossible to build a sustainable awesome defense unless your draft perfectly. The only team that's really done this is Seattle and even they won the QB lottery. Look at the coaches who have had the longest tenure and look who their QB is. It's not a coincidence. I agree handcuffing your team to a Rivers or Tannehill is probably stupid.
