I’ve got a feeling that if Alonso doesn’t sign early, then he won’t be a Met. I don’t think Stearns waits for him like he did last year.
The chatter about the Alonso talks and what Diaz is seeking is making me hope things get done earlier than expected. I don't expect Alonso to sign early but I'll feel way more confident about it going forward if we knock out the Diaz deal this month or early next month.

Hopefully. Leaving Vegas with Pete and Diaz would be a giant win. If they can pull off a trade at the same time, I might start to drink the Kool aid again

Side note but the more I hear about A.J. Ewing and how much a lot of the prospect watchers like him, the more comfortable I'm getting with moving Jett Williams.

Pete as DH and McNeil as the defensive 1st should play. The potienal runs saved by McNeil plus Pete's probably puts us in the playoffs. They only missed it by one game. Stearns still has to fix the pitching, but there's lots of starting pitching options out there for that.

Damn. The whole team?

They probably keep one of baty/vientos unless they decide to sign Bergman and somebody insists on them in a trade. Nimmo shouldn't be difficult to move as long as they eat money. The rest can start packing now as far as I'm concerned.

McNeil as defensive 1st is interesting, but I'll let Stearns cook
