Diaz and Pete are officially free agents. I don't care too much about cost. Pete is going to need to spend a big chunk of time at DH.

If they want to spend like there's no 27 season, they could get bichette for 2nd and Suarez for the 8th. Acquiring skubel and Cease should put us in a great spot to make it out of the NL

Diaz I am agnostic on. But they do need a bonfide closer or 2. Let's make the bullpen the strength since we have a lot of predetermined starters. But yes let's get a number 1 starter via FA or trade.
I don't mind concentrating on defense over offense lineup wise. And I want to keep Baty (best defensive 3B on team) and Vientos. I think Vientos can bounce back, and I like him in clutch situations.He had an off year but he can put up Alonso like power numbers potentially. Tradable players: Mauricio, I like him but he is the furthest from MLB ready out of the 3 3Bs they have and think other teams would like him he's a good chip. Also McNeil, Peterson, Senga would be my preference.
I think Stearns is going to make a significant trade. Should be an exciting off season.

Other than your vientos opinion, I 110% co-sign all of this. I’m not against keeping mark, but I actually feel like him being in a package can fetch us something significant.

Not against trading him but I also think he has proved he can be a huge power guy going forward and a playoff performer. Albeit just a DH or subpar 1B/3B, a cheap option to replace Pete's production.

Oh yeah, not saying he deserves 500 ABs automatically but he can be in a DH, 1B mix. He was impressive in the 2024 playoffs. When you show me you can perform in those situations I want to keep it.
