Nas stans have such an inferiority complex when it comes to Hov and Cube. I don't know why.

Why you think breh? Coz they know their artist of choice is inferior to real trailblazers and region definers in hip-hop like HOV and Cube were for the East/West respectively.

How was Jay a trailblazer or region definer?

Lol idk about trailblazer (more Cube) but he is a figurehead of sorts for the East. He better represents it than almost anyone. I didn't mean define it in terms of sound/rap style because he wasn't super original in that sense or at least to the extent he could be clearly differentiated from others. People were labelling him (incorrectly mind you) a Biggie clone etc. Plus the sound he came with was never new unless you count The Blueprint but that Kanye/Just Blaze sound was influenced by RZA anyway as admitted by them.

Jay just isn't as versatile as Nas. He's predictable and blueprint bored me after a few listens

You just used Nas and "versatile" in the same sentence, Nas was predictable since IWW, you knew what he was gonna do next and he even gave clues.

Like Nas's one-mood having ass actually was engaging for entire albums?

Still using that same flow since Illmatic, terrible at changing his delivery, and his overzealous subject matter hasn't changed since I Am, pretending to be some almighty, self-righteous prophet himself. Nas having ass beat selection for half a discography, and not knowing how to adapt to different styles at all, is sure "versatile", next time know how the fukking works in context.

Nas is the last rapper where "versatile" should be used. :pachaha:

Cube is a clear trailblazer and region definer.
Nas you could argue put the emphasis back on lyricism on two separate occassions for whtatever that's worth. But I dont' see it wtih Jay. Not to take away from him being one of the best to ever do it

Get off the damn fence you p*ssy agnostic and pick a damn album :prodigylol:
This is the Coli. There is no middle ground. There is no "I like them both".
One of these albums is a classic and the other one is :trash:

Really open-minded for a 36 year old, wow that Nasir wisdom really kicking in.

They give Stillmatic classic status but hesitate to give Cube his 4:pachaha:

Stillmatic starts off so strong nikkas forgot how horribly it ended:mjcry:. Might be worst second half to a "classic" that i can think of....im convinced nikkas was still stuck on Ether, and then got stuck on Rewind to realize what they wasnt listening too at the end of that album aint classic material.

to compare a album that has about 5 wack songs,to one that has 2:dahell:? To compare an album that has some of the greatest production work of its time to Stillmatic:dahell:? Stillmatic was impactful i give it that, but lets also note this album gets alot of love following the letdowns of I Am and Nastradamus....nas got alot of extra credit just from people happy to see he was still alive and no longer a bum.

i dont deny its peak moments, but nikkas will get all picky and talk about weak spots in double disc like AeOm and Lad,when its as many weak songs on Stillmatic, than it is both those albums...and stillmatic is one disc....i say this as a non biggie stan btw.

The only parr ill question myself on is with better sequencing,he could probaly get this off as a classic easier and fool me,becuz the high points are that high....but the second half of that album?nawl man,im not lettin yall slide comparing it to blueprint and im sick of talking about Nas believe it or not...yall quit pulling me back in with these lies and slander i have to clear up:sas1:

I don't think Nas is original anyway tbh either. Just like the Jay clone accusations, you could say Nas if not for Rakim definitely Kool G Rap.
