I say this as a big fan of CM Punk: 
was right about him in that promo from 15 years ago
Punk was never the voice of anything, he was just a guy who wanted somebody else's spot. And if he had that opportunity, he'd act like everyone else in that spot
Bret Hart is my GOAT, and I always thought Punk would be more like him. A guy who's gonna speak their mind, be brutally honest, and not take shyt from nobody. But now we see that ain't true, he ain't no Hitman
If we're keeping it 100:
is really the guy Punk thought he was. Danielson did everything Punk said he would do. Punk talked it, Danielson lived it. It just completely went over people's heads because Bryan isn't the personality that Punk is: even though he was always 10x better in the ring, and by the time his career ended he was just as good as Punk on the mic
