Just getting up on dude listening to learn 2 swim

Really good music

I'm gonna give all of his stuff a run, but the first 4-5 tracks on l2s are really good. I don't know why I gave it a shot but I'm glad I did.

I listened to dudes discog in order.

Something happens a lot with these young artists where they start off well, and trying not to sound like all the stereotypical young artists of the moment, they dig deeper and strike a chord.

Then with time, and not usually that much time, they regress and start to sound (and look) like the generic shyt they were trying to avoid.

He was always generic, and now he putting out trash.

The very first MV in this thread, I clicked on it and my first thought is I heard that same song from 5 other rappers.

I didn't like the album. But I'll let it run a couple more times and see if anything stands out.

Listened to sankofa again... it's basically an average version of Saba's CARE FOR ME, which is phenomenal and a hard bar to reach.

There are a couple of songs I like, but other than that, I'd rather listen to the Saba album to get the elite version of this energy.

I still think learn 2 swim is his best project.
