The problem with Joe was, he thought he could just go off the top, and not have concrete evidence to prove his points, so when he was confronted and asked to back up his claims, he was taken a back and didn't know how to respond. He's so used to getting softball questions and being mentally superior to people around him, he didn't know how to react on being called out on his bullshyt. People claim Joe is a great debater, in actuality, he's a great spinner. This is what he does

Joe Budden: "The sky is red"

Me: "Why do you think the sky is red?"

Joe Budden: "Hold on now, I'm not saying the sky is red. You're misinterpreted what I mean by that"

I think the problem starts with calling Cthagod a puppet, is that it's more of a feeling he gets than an actual tangible fact. Something like that is hard to back up, unless it's blatantly obvious. See Charlemagne change is far more subtle than overt. With the BI podcast, they always like to give context, regardless if you disagree, they at least always try to explain how they came to their conclusion. Joe is used to not having to back up his claims, and shooting from the hip, and if caught contradicting himself, is good enough of a manipulator, that the people around him are easily fooled.

Sometimes I wish I was famous because the way half these guys argue would be easy as fukk to pick apart.

well budden did question his character calling him a dikkrider for drake and whatnot, the same as many posters on this site have done and continue to do even in this thread. i think charlemagne defended himself well by giving examples of how that isnt the case. im glad for the most part they kept it lite and pretty civil. i was entertained.

It's weird that Joe diss Charlamagne for dikkriding, when he doesn't. While Joe dikkrode Drake for 7 years straight. He's still proud as fukk that he smoked hookah with Drake once. You can't argue with such trolls, I like his talk but he's definitely a troll that has incredible problems with admitting that he's wrong and answering difficult questions. That's when the trolling and circles start, even on his own show with Rory. Charlamagne covers his bases well, and always seems to have a prepared answer for inconsistencies in his behavior.

Nah that's not true. I keep reading this and y'all clearly either came into this disliking Joe or have a hard time remembering exact quotes.
For instance, he would say some shyt like "you know me, you know what I could do on the mic... And you chose to still try that with me?" And Andrew would come back with a "so why can't Drake respond to you?" I'm sitting here like what conversation is this dude having. He didn't say that, he was saying Drake should know better than to challenge him because they're FRIENDS... He should know how to respond to him and the fact he still chose to go that route is disrespectful. He made clear that that is what offends him.... It's a personal relationship thing. Andrew brings it up later and says some stupid shyt like "it sounds like you're saying that you're offended by the fact that Drake thinks he can rap with you..." do you see the twist of words there? He didn't say that.

Later on he says "there's a reason they don't wanna respond and it ain't cause I'm irrelevant," and Char says "that's what i think it is!" Rory brings up the Joe can't be irrelevant point but then Andrew says "who's saying Joe's irrelevant? I didn't say that and neither did Char "

Also, I peeped how no one remembers Joe's arguments against Char and tried to fact check. Can someone post the SEVERAL TIMES he gave Drake Donkey of the Day? Or how he didn't give Birdman Donkey of the Day after that bullshyt?

Just a lot of inconsistency because there's no fact checking from either side but because Joe didn't immediately come up with examples it sounded like he lost the whole argument. When there are several times where his words were twisted because comprehension isn't common nowadays, and several lies (like he called Meek a bytch) were spoken as fact.

I will say he lost the Char is a puppet argument and that's why he agreed that it's possible he was out of pocket. He also is terrible at making his points easy enough for anyone to understand. For someone who can speak and listen to someone else in a debate equally well, Joe is a decent debater... But for nikkas who can't decipher the difference between a situation making someone upset in the past and being upset at someone in the present related to that situation....then the conversation is a chore

I wish it was just Charlemagne vs Budden....that Andrew guy was annoying in how he kept trying to understand something that shouldn't have been so hard to understand.
