They're right. Have you been to Chinatown, not just regular cops, they're undercover and plain clothes damn near everywhere. ChinaTown also has a large immigrant population, violence is normally lower in immigrant populations, for a variety of reasons.

Whites take every murder the same way. They don't make a difference if a black man shot a white man or a white man shot a white man. A dead man is a dead man. Black people try to analize e ery murder to the core, thinking that every single white person hates them. Most times people don't even care what color u are...as lon as your dead. Black people should come to terms with the fact that even though there are racial mureders being commited to them, they are the only ones that take them to a new plateu andstop treating them as they are. A dead person.

There's a lot more that goes into it than humbling yourself and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. Factors like past education, where they actually live, criminal history, available skills, and connections (which most won't have). First generation immigrants are usually poor, that whole "move to America, work hard and strike it rich" campaign is so far removed from reality it's almost silly. If the police were as locked down in some hoods as they are in ChinaTown, there would be a lot less crime.
