I like these debates. You can expose someone's logic in a debate so I dont understand the "dont engage" tactic. Jared Taylor got exposed on a very KEY point in a debate with one of those internet Black commentators once and it exposed some good holes in his argument.

There are legit responses to the "Black on Black" crime argument, that no one ever brings up in these debates with far right conservatives.

Debating only works if both parties are operating honestly and in good faith, something Candace Owens doesn’t do. No matter what is said, she will fall back on the same talking points. In that video she literally says something like “well I haven’t seen those studies” as if it proves her correct. Of course she hasn’t seen them, she’s not actually interested in the facts.

Bringing up black on black crime in a discussion about police brutality is nothing but a smokescreen and a rightwing talking point. Black people are in the community everyday working to stop that type of violence but people like Candace Owens will never acknowledge that fact because it goes against their agenda. You can literally see it play out in that video.

I rarely watch these "debates" because there's no reason to engage people like her; they don't operate in good faith, and of course she immediately pivoted to black on black violence.

Hill did ok, he corrected most of her bullshyt from what I saw but her whole style is to throw as much word vomit against the wall and hope something sticks. It was disappointing that he kept letting her talk over him while spouting nonsense (she literally blamed BLM for black deaths instead of the police).

She really tried to quote MLK when it's clear she has no understanding of what he thought, and it was disappointing to see Hill agree with her on that at first (he pushed back later and clarified but I wish he would have gone further before letting her interrupt him again).
She just brought up opportunity zones, yea I'm done

It called "gish galloping". Overwhelm your opponent with an avalanche of points without regard for accuracy, and declare victory when they can't refute them all quickly. Watch "Thank you for Smoking" to see how a lot of these people debate. This is why no one should debate her without strict rules and a moderator.

He did fine and so did she. Both just couldn't cite the studies they were referencing, i didnt expect them to do so in this format. That wouldn't matter anyway because it seemed like Candace was trying to make Marc angry. She would be considered vehement racist for her attitude and snide comments if were white.

Bish said the police should protest Black people for police killings then 5 mins latter said police kill more whites than Blacks. But police brutality doesn't exist. Lolwut

I disagree, i think her audience needs to hear the opposing arguments and witness some of their dumber talking points destroyed. Letting cancers like her fester will only worsen things IMO.

i dont view her audience the same as you. i dont see them as people looking for serious debates. i think they are looking for black reinforcement of things they already feel. marc is probably desparate enough to go pretty much anywhere at this point. israel really shut him down professionally.
