it’s the album that cacs officially discovered him on thanks to that lolipop bullshyt so they think it’s his best

same way they think graduation was kanye’s best even tho it was worse than his first two albums
Right. It was his "breakthrough". Major singles that still get played today at functions. Started his Martian era lol. Best rapper alive era. Every single rapper has an a milli verse.

The intro is fire as fukk as well as the outro. Great features. We even got some okay deep cuts like comfortable and doctor Carter.

But like @Chip Skylark said, untitled and recession were way better.

Sidebar: THAT SONG WITH T PAIN WILL ALWAYS BE ASS!

Edit: I meant @My Girl is Bow Legged

There’s no way
This is consensus among the whites, even now. Lol.

Coldplay, daft punk sample, Elton John sample, etc. the hangover made it all the way accessible to the whites.

Plus the glow in the dark tour.

I've had teenage white kids ask me if I've heard of Graduation THIS YEAR like I didn't buy multiple physicals the day it dropped.

C3 has a very interesting history. I'm a 92 baby so I remember it quite well.

Wayne had a crazy mixtape and feature run in the mid-2000's that gave him a huge buzz and he was being hyped as the "best rapper alive."

C3 leaked and the album dropped and had a huge impact.

Musically, the album is all over the place and not really good in quality. But the impact is what made people call it a classic. Without C3's success, Young Money would've never took off as it did. If C3 flopped, not only would Wayne's run be in the toilet but Young Money artists like Drake and Nicki wouldn't have blown up like they did either.

C2 is still the best Wayne album to me. It's not as catchy or crossover but it's his most consistent sounding rap album besides C1. C3 was definitely a downgrade and the songs were so all over the place that it feels more like a playlist than an album.....lowkey foreshadowing the playlistification of hip hop.

I will say this though. C3 in spite of its flaws still tops just about every Wayne album that came after it. C4 was a hot mess. C5 was really raw but bloated with some dated songs. And the non-Carter albums damn near feel non-canon to his catalog cause nobody brings them up like that outside of the hits.

seeing wayne fans grow up and realize he was always ass will always be hilarious to me
06-11 was hilarious to witness in real time. I was telling people how badly overrated he was back then and all I heard was “nah you a hater, listen to [insert song that shows nothing at all]” :mjlol::mjlol: all he did was beat people over the head in quantity, including whoring himself out for features to anyone with a pulse , convincing folks he was far better than he was simply due to being everywhere 24/7. And then a new generation tried doing the same thing for Lil’ Baby, but that generation was smart enough to realize much quicker that their “next Lil Wayne” also wasn’t what they initially thought.
